The Qatari women’s table tennis team claimed the silver medal at the 2016 Arab table tennis Championships after losing the final match against Algeria on Sunday.
In the semifinal, the Qatari team including, Aya Majdi, Norah Al Abri, Maha Flamerzi and Kholoud Hussan recoded a 3-2 victory over their Tunisia counterparts, according to QOC.
On the other hand, Qatar’s U15 boys team qualified to the final match after edging hosts Tunisia in the semifinals. In the final match, Qatar will take on Egypt while Tunisia will clash against Algeria in the third place match.
The event features the participation of 15 countries including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Yemen, Lebanon, Algeria, Jordan, UAE, Libya, Palestine, Egypt, Iraq, Morocco, Djibouti and Hosts Tunisia.
