Former President of Egyptian Football Federation (EFF) Gamal Allam said that the increasing criticism against Coach of Egypt’s national team comes in the framework of the anger of defensive way he adopts during the latest matches. He stressed that the fans aspire to good football during its participation in the coming World Cup scheduled to be held in Russian during the coming year.
He added, in a statement to “Al Maghrib Today”, that Cuper should change his way during the coming matched to prepare the national team for performing well during the championship, while he refused any attempt from the officials to impose their visions on the manager of the team, saying that he is the only person who can decide the plan and way of the performance during the World Cup.
He added that the current generation of Egyptian footballers is extremely lucky, as they have a number of international players, including Mohamed Salah who managed to prove his efficiency during his participation with a large number of teams around the world. He also underlined the importance of young players who enjoy high ambitions to achieve their dream.
On the other hand, Allam expressed his appreciation to current Head of Egyptian Football Federation Hany Abu Reda, saying that it makes him proud to work with Abu-Reda. He added that the current head of EFF managed to achieve a large number of fulfillments during the latest period since he took the responsibility
