Jordanian journalist Suhair Jaradat said that the Jordanian female journalists still have few achievements comparing to what had been achieved globally. She added Jordanian women are representing only 1% in the media leadership positions, indicating that there is only one editor-in-chief for a Jordanian daily newspaper, which is simple compared to Jordanian women's efforts, capabilities and fingerprints on the media scene.
In an interview with Al Maghrib Today, Jaradat stressed that the role of media is changing the problem of society and resolving the crisis of the people, pointing out that the local scene has witnessed amendments and the abolition of a number of legal articles and instructions that constitute an injustice against the members of society, especially women and children.
Jaradat summarizes her experience that men still dominate the majority of the seats of the Journalists Syndicate Council, and women do not exceed one seat, until he rose in the elections this year to reach two members of the council of the union.
Regarding her experience of running for the elections of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), As a member of the executive committee, she said it was the most difficult to convince the members of the Union, representing 103 countries, of Arab colleagues who work against their Arab brothers, and yet able to prove the ability of Arab women to compete in international forums.

She is also a member of the Jordan Journalists' Syndicate. She is the only member representing Jordanian women journalists for the years 2009-2011.
