Egyptian media presenter Menna Farouk expressed her pleasure for the offer she received to present a morning talk show “Sabah Dream”, saying that it makes her proud to work in the Egyptian satellite channel of Dream during the current period.
She said that many people underestimate the morning talk shows, saying that they are not less important than the evening ones. She added that they complete the discussion of the issues raised during the previous day. She said that she expects that her experience with the channel will be successful.
She added that she preferred to take the experience with dream and to end her contract with Ten satellite channel, as the new program will provide her with the opportunity to appear for four consecutive days per week. She expressed her appreciation for the period she spent with “Ten” satellite channel, saying that it was a good opportunity to gain a lot of experience.
She said that, she isn’t thinking about leaving her work because she sees it as her second home although she received many offers. She also refuses to host a political show because she believes this kind of shows have their own experts who should host them, and she has been always fond of social and talk shows not political ones.
She also expressed his resentment over the current media field due to lack of disciplines and reliable resources, saying that, some hosts depend on opinions not facts in order to attract more audience and advertisements, with zero concern to their topics’ quality.
She said that, the official media of the state “Maspero” is technically dead due to lack of influence on public opinion, stressing the need to revive the official media of the country, as it focuses on the good on the country on the first place, especially when owners of private channels have their own agenda to achieve.
