Egyptian parliamentarian Bahaa Abu Shaqa stressed the need for activating the law, saying that the lack of respect to the laws and constitution led the country to the current state of chaos dominating the country. He added that the Egyptian citizen suffers from his failure to restore his rights by the law.
He added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that the rule of law could perform a major role to achieve security and stability in the Egyptian community during the coming period. He added that the different institutions of the Egyptian state should work seriously to implement the law to confront the social phenomena that came as a result of the absence of law.
He added that the Egyptian citizens need to feel the change witnessed in the Egyptian community after two revolutions, saying that they need to live under the rule of law. He called the Egyptian parliament to perform a major role in this regard during the coming period.
He added the Egyptian parliamentarians are not isolated from the problems facing their community. He stressed the need for reforming the medical sector in the country, stressing they suffer from the lack of equipment and capabilities which are needed to deal with the different cases they face.
Regarding the terrorist attacks witnessed in the country, he said the terrorist operations witnessed notable increase during the recent period, adding that the terrorist groups managed to develop their plans using the latest technology. He stressed the need for a parliamentary role to confront the criminal groups as soon as possible. He revealed that the legislative committee presented proposals of laws to confront the terrorist groups and to contain the danger of extremist threat.
