Egyptian high-profile diplomat Abdel Raouf Al Redi said that U.S President Donald Trump faces internal problems and presuures directed against him, pointing out that US policy is not the policy of the individual, but depends on the work of institutions, so Egypt must move to communicate with Congress and research centers to build a broad base and this requires work and effort, Whether from security services or diplomats. He added that President Sisi's meetings with the US president made the most important shift in the bilateral relations between Egypt and the United States, at the level of presidents that has not happened since the time of former President Bill Clinton. The Egyptian ambassador added, “Trump is well aware of the role of the Egyptian regime in the region, and the reason for the changes in relations in some periods came according to major data, most notably the evolution of the strategic situation in the Middle East, after the position of the four countries of Qatar and the secession of the Kurds, as well as the continuation of the series of Iranian interventions in the region.” He stressed that a number of members of the US Congress did not agree with Egypt's actions towards the human rights issue. He blamed the negative media image that worsen Egypt’s image before the world. He added, “This is undoubtedly a misrepresentation of Egypt's image, so the conflict here took place between Trump's direction and a number of members.” He added, “Presidential meetings, whether visits or on the sidelines of UN meetings, are unprecedented diplomatic ammunition and must be built upon to support Egypt's strategic role. It is an important step that needs more effort to maintain this success. I think that the meeting of the Israeli Prime Minister is very important.”
