Hollywood couple George and Amal Clooney have reportedly given their neighbors a £45,000 ($55,600) package in compensation for the noise caused by renovations to their estate in Berkshire village.
According to a source, John Groove and his wife Clare got a holiday to Corfu with a six-week stay in a luxury hotel and £30,000 cash, reported aceshowbiz.com.
The package also included a replacement of a vacuum cleaner.
After their month-long stay at the hotel, the pair then reportedly moved the couple into a cottage in the village for a year and paid all their rent and bills.
Renovation at the Clooneys’ home began in late 2015, including the construction of a 12-seater cinema, subterranean irrigation system, 60-ft swimming pool and a tennis court.
Meanwhile, the actor recently said Amal is “doing really great” as they eagerly await the arrival of their twins.
“She is doing really great. She is amazing. I don’t have anything to do. There is nothing I can do to help, but make tea and stuff,” he told Extra.
