Iman Ereiqat, Chief of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Kuwait received the Ambassador of Netherlands to Kuwait H.E Frans Potuyt at the United Nations House – Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Building in Mishref for the signing of a cooperation agreement on Wednesday, 25 October.
Under this agreement, IOM, with the generous support of the Embassy of the Netherlands, will implement the project ‘Capacity-Building Trainings on Identification of Victims of Trafficking’ in order to enhance the protection and assistance that victims of trafficking receive in Kuwait. In two one-week workshops, IOM will build the capacities of competent protection service providers on victim identification, case management, victim-friendly service provision, as well as national and international legislation that protects the rights of victims of trafficking.
IOM Kuwait and the Embassy of the Netherlands are looking forward to many years of fruitful partnership and successful realization of projects in the field of counter-trafficking.
