Under the auspices of Industry and Commerce Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Gulf Cooperation Council Accounting and Auditing Organization (GCCAAO) will organise its ninth annual forum on May 6-7 in Manama.
Organised in association with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Bahrain Society of Accountants, the forum will discuss the Vocation of Accountancy and Auditing: global Developments and Career Reflections.
The Organisation's Executive Director Nasser Ibrahim Al-Qa'ood said the forum's convening comes at a time of increasingly-growing attention to the role undertaken by the accountancy and auditing profession in terms of safety and growth of GCC economies and boosting investment environment therein and also to discuss the future of the profession in member countries and the role of unification of accountancy and auditing curricula in Gulf universities in boosting the common Gulf market and domestication of the profession.
