The Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) discussed a number of proposals, several key issues and reviewed the agenda topics regarding the development of the work systems that serve to achieve the vision of the Emirate of Sharjah.
Following the ratification of the minutes of the previous session, the Council approved the organisational structure of Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD).
Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the SEC, chaired a meeting of the Council at the Sharjah Ruler’s Office on Tuesday.
Sultan bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) said that the Department’s new organisational structure aims to keep pace with the overall economic development and growth in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The Council also approved the signing of a MoU between Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services and GHORFA Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry to boost the cooperation between the two sides.
During the meeting, the Council discussed the housing project for Emiratis, adopted by the Directorate of Town Planning and Survey (DTPS). Khalid Bin Butti Al Muhairi, Director of the Department of Town Planning and Survey in Sharjah briefed the attendees on the preliminary results of the ongoing project.
The Council appraised the DTPS‘s outstanding efforts in preparing the draft plan of the housing project for Emiratis, which aims to achieve Sharjah’s vision to provide the best services that ensure high levels of well-being to the residents of Sharjah. The council also directed to prepare an extensive plan of the project, including the main suggested recommendations discussed by the members.
Khaled Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Commerce and Tourist Development Authority (SCTDA), briefed the Council members on the most significant activities and festivals of the UAE's 45th National Day celebrations .
A number of Emiri Decrees, issued by H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, were also reviewed by the Council.
