Baghdad - MENA
Dozens of protesters managed Friday to storm the headquarters of the general secretariat of the Iraqi cabinet building in the Green Zone in central Baghdad, while security troops fired gunshots into the air and tear gas.
Some protesters covered their faces with shirts in order to protect themselves against the tear gas.
The forces responsible for guarding the Green Zone are now on high alert, according to an Iraqi security source.
Meanwhile, some protesters confirmed that more than 20 people suffered from gas inhalation.
