Iraqi army forces have foiled an attack by Daesh militants in Ar rutbah district of Anbar province in southwestern Iraq, Anbar Operation Command said on Friday.
Also, the Iraqi troops killed six terrorists, destroyed three vehicles equipped with machine guns and seized a truck bomb near a village in western Ar rutbah district, according to the command.
On May 19, the Iraqi Joint Operations Command announced the liberation of Ar rutbah neighborhood from the hands of Daesh militiamen and raised the Iraqi flag in the district following a four-day military operation carried out by army and police personnel and anti-terrorism unit.
