Joint Iraqi forces on Tuesday liberated Daraemaa village in eastern Anbar governorate from Daesh militants.
Media office of the joint Iraqi command said the Iraqi troops carried out the operation on Monday night and chased out militants of Daesh till "El Walid" crossroads on the borders with Syria.
The operation inflicted losses on Daesh militants and several elements were killed during the fight.
The operation was carried out by Iraqi army combat squads, anti-terror troops as well as Anbar police forces along with border guards and tribal fighters.
The Iraqi warplanes and international coalition have provided a cover-up for the joint troops which carried out the attack on Daesh militants.
