Baghdad - MENA
The Iraqi military troops, backed by Popular Mobilization Units, killed Saturday 15 Daesh fighters in Saladin governorate's city of Baiji, northern Iraq.
Descendant of Caucasian nationalities, the fighters were surrounded and killed by the Iraqi troops, a security source said.
The forces fully retook the western region of Samarra in Saladin governorate, but some Daesh militants still control some areas near Baiji refinery, the largest in Iraq.
