France has condemned a deadly attack that targeted a mosque in Baghdad.

A French Foreign Ministr spokesperson said "This heinous act is further evidence of the barbarity of Daesh which targets civilian populations and attempts to increase sectarian tensions."

He extended France's condolences to the victims’ families and assures Iraq of its support in the fight against terrorism.
