At least four Iraqi policemen were killed and injured on Saturday when a booby-trapped car exploded at the entrance of Fallujah city in eastern al Anbar.

Saturday's car bomb targeted a checkpoint and left two policemen dead and two others injured, spokesman for Iraq's Ministry of Interior Saad Maan said in a statement.

Earlier, Iraqi forces in al Anbar manged to foil a booby-trapped car attack following two similar attacks that hit the area last November.
