Iraqi police killed a suicide bomber, who was driving a booby-trapped car near a checkpoint in al Radwaniya area, western Baghad.

The force managed to kill the suicide bomber before reaching his target earlier Friday, a security source said.

Another source said that the car did explode on the international highway, killing three soldiers and injuring five others. 

The police closed all roads leading to the scene of the blast.
