Four people were killed and others wounded when militants believed to be of Daesh terrorist group attacked a gas station in northern Iraq on Sunday, Iraqi sources said.

One of the four attackers blew himself up, killing four people, the sources said.

Security forces managed to repel the attack that could have left dozens dead.

The three other attackers fled the scene.

No side has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
