Two villages in Hit in the Iraqi province of Anbar have been taken over from the terrorist group of Daesh by Iraqi security forces, said the media office of the joint operations command.
The counter-terror troops, backed by Abrams thanks, cleared the villages of Khawdha and Mashtal.
Ten terrorists were killed in the fighting. Fifty-eight explosive charges and three car bombs were defused.
In Bou-Jassim, north of Ramadi, 20 terrorists were killed in airstrikes that targeted sites of Daesh.
