Ten persons were killed and others injured when a booby-trapped car went off in Diyala governorate on Monday.

Sky news Arabia reported that the blast caused heavy material damage and destroyed nearby cars. 

So far, no party announced its responsibility for the explosion that took place outside Al Khalis city, some 80 kilometers away from Baghdad. 

On Sunday, 12 persons were killed in a suicide bombing against a security checkpoint in northern Baghdad.
