Libya's elections commission chairman Nouri al-Abbar has agreed to chair a new government after current Prime Minister Ali Zeidan was dismissed in a non-confidence vote, local media said on Wednesday. Al-Abbar held a meeting with two blocks over his nomination for the post. Meantime, a meeting was reportedly held between the Muslim Brotherhood in Libya and the Alliance of National Powers to nominate Ali al-Essawi for the position.
