A Libyan Special Forces soldier were killed due to a technical failure in his tank in Boatni area in the coastal city of Benghazi, said spokesman for Libya's Special Forces Colonel Miloud Al Zawi on Thursday.

In statements to MENA, Zawi said that the soldier's body was referred to hospital to be inspected by the forensic medicine.

Libya, which plunged into chaos after the ouster and killing of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, has two rival governments and parliaments while severe clashes are taking place between several militias in the war-torn country.
