Libyan National Army (LNA) targeted a truck driven by a suicide bomber before arriving to a group of ground troops near the rebel-held Ganfouda area in western Benghazi.
Spokesperson for the LNA, Colonel Ahmed al Mesmari said that 13 Sudanese workers who were trapped in Ganfouda, managed to escape to the LNA posts.
All families and workers besieged by the terrorists were not hurt and are safe now.
Al Mesmari said on Thursday the army forces restored full control over al Kawarsha area in western Benghazi after expelling al Qaeda terrorists.
