Libyan army units are launching airstrikes against Daesh militants' sites in Sirte city, to support its residents against the Islamist militant group, the commander of the Libyan air force said on Saturday.
Brigadier Sakr el-Goroshi said the support also included launching airstrikes to disrupt supply to Daesh from Harawa village, controlled by the militants.
More than 55 civilians were killed in clashes erupted between youths of Sirte and Daesh fighters.
