Five children were injured in a landmine explosion in Benina district in Benghazi city, Head of Orthopaedic department at Marg Hospital Wessam Al Mazbouh said on Thursday.

He added the five children aged between seven and ten were transferred to the hospital for treatment, asserting they sustain severe injuries.

Immediate surgeries were performed for the five seriously-wounded children, he underlined.
