The Tripoli-based Health Ministry said on Friday that at least 39 people were killed while 101 others were injured during clashes with Daesh terrorist group in the western Libyan city of Sabratha.
Khaled el Taleb, assistant health minister in the Tripoli government, said that the clash was sparked briefly after Daesh militants entered the center of city and beheaded 11 members of local security forces before retreating.
Last Friday, a US air strike targeted militants in Sabratha, killing more than 40.
