Tripoli - Arab Today
As many as 35 people were killed and 85 others injured in recent clashes between the Libyan army and forces of Ajdabiya Revolutionaries' Shura Council, the Red Crescent said on Saturday.
Most of the casualties are civilians along with some Libyan soldiers, Red Crescent spokesman Mansour Ati said.
Ajdabiya, 162 kilometers (100 miles) south of Benghazi, is located in a major oil-producing area. Since November, government personnel there have been targeted by a campaign of assassinations.
