Unidentified gunmen killed five Askar al-Salam volunteers in an attack northwest Pakistan today. According to official sources, the volunteers were attacked during an operation against militants in the Bara area at the tribal Khyber Agency. In another incident, unidentified gunmen targeted a NATO truck in Jamrud Bazar also at the Khyber Agency with explosives today, injuring three people including a child and damaging the truck. Unidentified gunmen had set fire Friday to a NATO truck in Mestong at the Balochistan province southwest Pakistan.
