Egyptian actress Somayya Khashab has said that the recent political events in the Arab world have contributed a lot to the success of her work “Kayd Al-Nisa” during Ramadan. Khashab denied rumors that she was in disagreement with her co-star Fifi Abdu, saying that she is her best friend. Khashab said that viewers in Ramadan were fed up with political events in the Arab world and they wanted comedy. This contributed to the series’ popularity during Ramadan. Khashab commented on her weight gain, blaming it on a medicine she took when she suffered from a foot injury. She said that she had added 10 kilos to her weight. However, she had to sacrifice and appear during Ramadan despite her weight increase in order not to delay the production of Kayd Al-Nisa.
