But now, as US sources spill that Jennifer Lopez's mother, Guadulupe, emailed her daughter's ex-boyfriend for advice on how J-Lo should deal with her collapsing marriage to Marc Anthony, pals of the Affleck-Garners say this could derail their marriage! ‘Reached out to Ben in email' Although she hasn't stayed in contact with Ben, who she dated for 18 months - a relationship which ended in a broken engagement in 2004 and which saw the pair dubbed ‘Bennifer' and ridiculed in the press - sources told Us Weekly, that J-Lo's mum "always liked and trusted" Ben. "She wanted advice for Jennifer," added the insider. "She always liked and trusted him. He replied back in an email, wished her well and offered what he could." Ben was her ‘greatest love' As more and more reports emerge that paint a picture of 42-year-old Marc as a jealous and possessive husband, who resented his wife's recent career resurgence - with a close source insisting, "They got in a lot of horrible, heated fights" - friends have come forward to claim that towards the end of her marriage, J-Lo's thoughts turned back to Ben. "Ben will always be one of her greatest loves," said one. "He was her ideal - a movie star." The source added, "It was the cumulative effect of everything Marc did to her. He was a terrible husband."
