Egypt’s youth unemployment hit 26.6% of the workforce in the second quarter of 2015, according to a report by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
The number of jobless 15-to-29 year olds fell by 12.7% over the quarter (April-June) against 12.8% in the first quarter of 2015, the CAMPAS report showed.
The CAPMAS figures showed that unemployment was 9.3% among men and 24.1% among women in the same quarter, compared to 9.1% among men and 24.7% among women in the preceding quarter.
