The Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Tuesday adding 40.77 points or 0.49% to 8,290.39 points from 8,249.62 Monday. The volume of shares traded down to 2,900,188 from 5,289,870 on Monday and the value of shares fell to QR139,015,502.95 from QR229,555,326.67 Monday. Top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 1.65% to QR141.50, Barwa Real Estate by 0.50% to QR29.95, Electricity & Water up by 0.63% to QR143.00, Qatar Insurance by 0.89% to QR79.70 and Gulf International by 1.60% to QR28.65. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector gained 84.66 while the Insurance sector up 60.51 points. The Qatar industrial sector lost 17.52 points and the Services sector added 27.14 points.
