SABIC Academy endeavors to fulfill the company’s 2025 strategy and contribute to Saudi Vision 2030.
Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) concluded the first edition of its training program for public sector leaders at the SABIC Academy on Oct. 6, under the theme, "Leadership in SABIC: An Experience of Building Integrated Teams," with the second in the series scheduled to begin on Oct. 16.
SABIC Vice Chairman and CEO Yousef Al-Benyan inaugurated the program last week, stressing the importance of focusing on training in order to develop capable leaders. SABIC Academy endeavors to fulfill the company’s 2025 strategy and contribute to Saudi Vision 2030.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Abdulaziz Al-Oudan, SABIC EVP, corporate HR, highlighted the importance of putting what the trainees had learned into practice. He noted that everyone faces the challenge of ensuring the success of Saudi Vision 2030, an inspiring vision that needs everybody’s support.
“That's why SABIC has organized the current training program as part of its contribution to that vision,” he said.
Al-Oudan distributed completion certificates to the participants, stressing SABIC’s intent to build a relationship of trust with all public sector organizations for mutual benefit.
A total of 25 high-ranking public sector officials participated in the training program where they had the opportunity to tap SABIC’s experience in building and developing leaders, and qualifying employees to take on leadership positions. They listened to a number of presentations by SABIC leaders, covering several leadership topics.
