ranked Lexus the highest in vehicle dependability

The J.D. Power study on product quality gives a score of 95 problems per 100 vehicles (PP100) to Lexus, leading to its automatic classification in the highest quality ranks.
J.D. power, an American-based global marketing information services firm founded in 1968, conducts surveys of customer satisfaction, product quality and buyer behavior for industries ranging from cars to marketing and advertising firms.
In the case of car dependability, the company collects responses from more than 80,000 buyers and car renters, who are surveyed 90 days after receiving their cars.
This study identifies product quality and dependability by the number of problems per 100 vehicles, with the smallest number indicating the highest quality.
Nadim Haddad, deputy general manager at Markazia, commented: “Year after year, the results of the J.D. Power study on quality demonstrate the reliability and dependability of Lexus as a vehicle, requiring minimum maintenance and recording the least number of problems and accidents.”
Haddad also said: “Lexus has earned a well-deserved reputation for turning out utterly refined luxury vehicles over many years.”
The reputation and hallmarks of this brand are a quiet, well-crafted cabin and a plush ride, and commendable performance from powerful, nearly silent engines.
J.D. Power and LMC Automotive Research Foundation of America work together as an alliance on data sharing. The importance of the J.D. Power study of quality and dependability is that the level of car problems dropped by 5 percent since the company started collecting data and consumer insights on their vehicles.
