Malaysia will further strengthen economic ties with Iran following the lifting of with international sanctions on the country. "We will continue to view Iran as an important country to market our products as palm oil," International Trade and Industry Minister Mustapa Mohamed.

Meanwhile, the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) registered sales of RM4.5 million during the one-day specialized marketing mission to Singapore. "The sales followed one-to-one business meetings arranged for the 30 Malaysian companies that participated in the mission," the Senior Director of its Strategic Planning Division, Wan Latiff Wan Musa said.
He said 132 meetings in total were arranged for the companies with their Singaporean counterparts
