The President of Customs Affairs Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa today announced that the officers on duty at Sea Exists of Khalifa port foiled the smuggling of 5 containers of diesel worth BD18,573. The quantities of smuggled diesel were detected by the scanning device. The suspected smuggler was arrested in cooperation with the General Directorate of Southern Governorate Police. The case was referred to the Public Prosecution after legal procedures had been finalised. (MOI- Police Media Centre).
