Christine Ohlman & Rebel Montez, Rocket 88, Ann Klein - Rock/Americana Power Trio with A Touch of Twang! Long Beach ROXX NY is a free annual event and live music concept, produced by Long Beach New York\'s Joanne J-Bird Phillips and presented by J-Bird Music For The Arts, Inc. , a non-profit corporation that supports and advocates the Arts. It is open to the general public and is like no other Rock Music Festival on Long Island. Hosted and sponsored in part by The Long Beach Public Library, the two have joined forces to bring you a unique and eclectic line-up of Rock Music performances, displaying the many different facets of the Rock \'n\' Roll music genre, pleasing to both the eye and the ear, for all ages. Long Beach ROXX NY is proud to feature and support both established artists as well as independent upcoming artists. Long Island NY\'s biggest rock radio station, WBAB 102.3FM has come on board this year as the Official & Exclusive Broadcast Radio Sponsor for this year and every year after. Last year\'s 1st Annual Long Beach ROXX NY festival was during Hurricane Sandy. Although it came bearing down on us on Sunday the 28th, the show went on. Attendance was light, to say the least, as residents were scrambling to sand bag their homes or evacuate while the ocean was visibly rising only blocks away. Needless to say the thin crowd of loyal fans that were in attendance loved the performances and professionalism of how the event was managed. The hosting venue also loved everything, and gave ROXX NY an increase for this year’s event and ever year thereafter from 3 days to 4. J-Bird Music for The Arts, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, providing quality music entertainment throughout New York communities, whose MISSION is to raise funding for Performing Arts programs in high schools in the New York State education system. J-Bird Music For The Arts, Inc. is proud to be approved by The New York State Department of Education. The festival is free, but people can make tax deductible donations to the non-profit at the event, and also at the event\'s website. Stay tuned for next year\'s 3rd Annual \"Long Beach ROXX NY\" festival, which is now booked for Thurs - Sun, Oct. 23-26, 2014.
