The 13th Kuwait Theater Festival kicked off here late Monday under the inauguration and attendence of Minister of Information and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah. Secretary General of the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters, Ali Al-Youha said in the opening of the festival that the government\'s support of the event, which would conclude on December 19, showcased its\' keenness on developing culture and arts. The Secretary General also said that the continuous evolution of Kuwaiti theater was due to a long history of refining and developing this such art in the country, hoping that the current festival would be an addition to Kuwait\'s theater. Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah, and Secretary Al-Youha honored at the conclusion of the opening ceremony a number of pioneering Kuwaiti actors including Sulaiman Al-Yaseen, Ja\'far Al-Momen, Haifah Aadel, Ahmad Mus\'ad, and others. The festival will include several plays and workshops to improve the theater performance.
