A prosecution in Kafr El Sheikh, north of Cairo, released 14 Sudanese people who had been detained over a failed illegal immigration bid.

They had been captured while planning to travel to Italy on board fishing boats via the Mediterranean sea.

They confessed that they paid to a resident to help them to illegally travel to Europe.
