The head of General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), Meriem Ben Salah Chakroun, revealed that CGEM and Ministry in Charge of Moroccans Living Abroad launched the digital economic region, which will become the confederation’s 13th region.
She added that this came in the forum under the name of " Moroccan Business Bridge", which attended by large numbers of Moroccan and foreign investors from around the world, as well as the presence of political and economic figures.
She indicated that the event aims to create a platform for professional exchange between entrepreneurs from around the world and Morocco and facilitate meetings between Moroccan entrepreneurs living abroad and local decision makers.
Chakroun also stressed that the event aims to encourage Moroccan investors residing in foreign countries to invest in their country of origin and help Moroccan companies grow their exports with the help of Moroccan entrepreneurs abroad.
She stressed the importance of creating investment opportunities, including all the sectors from different parts of Morocco, indicating that the Kingdom is characterized by the existence of a favorable climate and stable political conditions, which encouraging investors to come to it to complete their projects.
"The 13 economic region of CGEM will thus help the integration of Moroccan entrepreneurs around the world in Moroccan economy by bringing their experience and expertise and making them benefit from Moroccan experience in different fields,” Chakroun said.
"There are guarantees to overcome some obstacles and understand the business climate in Morocco, and there is a great improvement in the economic and social development of our country," Chekroun added.
She added that Moroccan Minister of Justice Mohamed Aujjar, stressed, during the forum, the importance facilitating the legal side for the investors, adding that all conditions are appropriate to invest in Morocco to become active in development. While the Minister Delegate in Charge of Moroccans Living Abroad Abdelkrim Benatiq, said that the first session of Moroccan Business Bridge Forum in Rabat is an activation of the Moroccan aspirations in the world to achieve a strong economy in Morocco.
The two-day event collected more than 300,000 Moroccan entrepreneurs abroad.
