The Qatari basketball team resumed their training sessions in preparation for the FIBA Asia Basketball Championship to be staged in Manila, Philippines from August 1 to 11, 2013. Qatar will compete in Group B, alongside Hong Kong, Lebanon and Japan. The Qatari team began an international preparation period at al-Gharafa Sports Club before leaving to Lithuania on June 24 for a training camp. The Qatari squad includes; Ali Turky, Mohammad Yousef, Bakr Ahmad, Yassin Ismael, Erfan Saeed, Malik Saleem, Mohammad Hassan Abdulmoati, Mohammad Salim, Khalid Sulaiman, Dawood Mousa, Saeed Abdulrahman, Mansour Al-Hadhari and Omer Abdulqader.
