The organizing committee of the "Challenge Bahrain" international triathlon championship, which will take place on December 6 and organised jointly by Challenge Family and Nasser bin Hamad Foundation, announced today a public contest which is keen to support the crowd who will follow up the global event which will feature many elite triathletes from different countries in the world.
The organising committee invites people wishing to participate in the public competition to send the text message "Bahrain" to the following numbers: 95533 to Batelco, 94112 to Zain and 98887 to VIVA.
The organising committee has allocated valuable prizes for the winners of this contest.
Bahrain Triathlon Association President Shaikh Sager bin Salman Al Khalifa pointed out that the allocation of awards for the crowd comes under the directives of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
It comes in recognition for the Bahraini fans whom he urged to follow the tournament and learn more about the sport, especially with Bahrain aiming to become the home of triathlon in the Middle East.
He stressed that the contest’s objectives will be to deploy triathlon in the country and to expand the base of participants as well as to urge young people to participate in this sport, which is one of the sports that develops the physical and mental sides of a person.
