Egypt striker Mohamed Zidan has returned to the Borussia Dortmund squad to play Arsenal in round five of the Champions League on Wednesday. The 29-year-old forward recently recovered from a knee ligament injury he sustained in April 2010. He has played for Dortmund’s second team and for the Pharaohs in their recent 2-0 friendly defeat by Brazil in Qatar. BVB must win against the British giants if they want to keep their quarterfinal qualification hopes alive as the Bundesliga champions lay third in Group F, four points behind leaders Arsenal, and three behind Marseille who are facing the group’s bottom team Olympiakos Piraeus. The former Hamburg player was linked with a move to Egyptian giants Ahly but the club denied the speculation.
