Midfielder Ahmed Hassan and striker Ahmed Hossam “Mido” have both been included in Zamalek’s squad for Wednesday’s Egyptian Premier League game against Gouna after recovering from minor injuries. Egypt skipper Hassan, one of Zamalek’s key players, and striker Mido, who is struggling to break into the team’s starting line-up, had initially been considered doubtful for the match. Zamalek coach Hassan Shehata, however, ultimately decided to include both players in his 20-man squad for the upcoming clash with Gouna. Fullback Mohamed Abdel-Shafy, meanwhile, who sustained a groin injury during Zamalek’s 1-0 victory over Wadi Degla last week, was excluded from the list, along with teammate Salah Soliman, who will sit out of his second consecutive game due to a knee injury. Zamalek are currently at fourth place in the league table with 23 points, five points behind leaders Harras El-Hodoud, who have played one game more.
