Francesco Totti struck twice from the penalty spot to end his goalscoring drought and fire Roma to a 2-0 victory over Chievo. The Giallorossi captain scored his first goal of the season in the 34th minute after Erik Lamela was brought down inside the area by Chievo\'s Nicolas Frey. Totti again converted from the spot with 12 minutes to go after Bostjan Cesar had been penalised for handball. The hosts, seeking a third successive win, went into the encounter at the Stadio Olimpico without their leading scorer Daniel Osvaldo, who has been ruled out for two months with a thigh injury. Stefano Sorrentino kept out Lamela\'s effort after five minutes, while midway through the first half Bojan\'s goal-bound strike from 30 yards was also saved by the visiting goalkeeper. Chievo had a chance when Cyril Thereau got past his marker and fired towards the far post but his attempt was saved by Roma goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg. Two Totti spot-kicks After Lamela was fouled by Frey, Roma went ahead when Totti coolly struck the resulting spot-kick past Sorrentino for his first league goal of the season. Chievo almost equalised before half-time, Sergio Pellissier getting his head behind Bojan Jokic\'s cross but his effort was saved by Stekelenburg. The visitors threatened after the restart and could have levelled on the hour mark but Thereau\'s powerful strike went wide, while substitute Davide Moscardelli then missed the target from a good position. Chievo were made to rue their profligacy when Roma doubled their advantage. Cesar was penalised for handling in the area, and Totti put the ball into the bottom-right corner of Sorrentino\'s net before departing to a standing ovation when he was substituted three minutes from full-time.
