The agent of Wolfsburg forward Srdjan Lakic has revealed a switch to Bundesliga rivals Stuttgart is looking increasingly likely. Lakic has failed to make the breakthrough in northern Germany following his move from Kaiserslautern at the start of the season. He was originally signed by Die Wölfe before Felix Magath agreed to take over as coach last year, but he has failed to convince the current Wolfsburg boss, who is looking to offload at least half a dozen players this winter. Lakic is one of the players heading for the exit and his agent Alen Augustinic told the Stuttgarter Zeitung newspaper the Swabians are currently leading the chase for his signature. \"There are several clubs interested in him, but Stuttgart are clearly ahead,\" he said. \"That is the way things stand at the moment.\" Hannover and Borussia Monchengladbach are understood to be Stuttgart\'s closest rivals for the 28-year-old Croatian, who netted 35 times for Kaiserslautern but has yet to open his account for Wolfsburg.
