New York Red Bulls

The New York Red Bulls replaced city rivals New York City FC at the top of the Eastern Conference with a 2-1 win against the Columbus Crew.
Bradley Wright-Phillips had the Red Bulls ahead from the penalty spot in the 49th minute but Tony Tchani equalised nine minutes later before Mike Grella grabbed the winner just a minute after coming on. Federico Higuain was then sent off for the Crew with seven minutes remaining. City, meanwhile, suffered a 1-0 defeat to Sporting Kansas City courtesy of Ike Opara's 13th-minute goal.
Robert Earnshaw enjoyed a stunning debut for the Vancouver Whitecaps as he grabbed a 90th-minute winner with his first touch to hand the Canadian side a 2-1 win against the Portland Timbers. Nicolas Mezquida had the Whitecaps ahead after 15 minutes but Fanendo Adi equalised with eight minutes to play before Earnshaw, who had only been on the pitch three minutes, pounced at the death.
Kaka was on target for Orlando City in a 2-2 draw against the Montreal Impact which saw the all the goals come in the first half-hour. Ignacio Piatti put the Impact ahead with a 14th-minute penalty and Jack McInerney doubled the lead in the 27th minute. But Pedro Ribeiro grabbed one back two minutes later and Kaka equalised soon after to secure a point.
Kelyn Rowe bagged a brace for the New England Revolution in a 2-1 win against the San Jose Earthquakes. Rowe's goals in the 21st and 37th minutes had the Revolution in control before Chris Wondolowski grabbed one back with a 62nd-minute penalty.
Chris Pontius scored the only goal in stoppage-time to hand DC United a 1-0 win over the Los Angeles Galaxy while the Houston Dynamo and the Colorado Rapids played out a goalless draw. FC Dallas and the Seattle Sounders also failed to find the target in their game with Kellyn Acosta sent off for the Texans.
