Wellington Phoenix recovered from an early deficit to beat lowly Adelaide United 2-1 and continue their good recent form as they seek to close the gap on runaway A-League leaders Central Coast Mariners. Second-bottom Adelaide took a tenth-minute lead through Bruce Djite but Wellington were back on level terms within three minutes thanks to Tim Brown and then Dani Sanchez netted what would prove to be the winning goal seven minutes before half-time. The victory was second-placed Wellington\'s fourth on the trot and lifted them to within seven points of leaders Central Coast, although they have played two games more.
