Panathinaikos moved to the top of the Super League standings after defeating Atromitos 1-0, while previous leaders Olympiacos suffered a surprise defeat at FC Xanthi. Quincy Owusu-Abeyie scored the only goal of the game in the 72nd minute as Panathinaikos saw off Atromitos, and the Athens club then received further good news as local rivals Olympiacos went down to a solitary Panagiotis Vlachodimos\' goal just after half-time at Xanthi. Those two results mean Pana now boast a two-point advantage over Olympiacos at the summit, as well as still having a game in hand. At the other end of the table, Doxa Dramas remain rooted to the foot of the standings, and without a win in 13 matches this season, after going down 3-1 at home to Aris Salonika. Doxa actually managed to take the lead through Amvrosios Papadopoulos\' 19th-minute strike but that advantage lasted barely a minute before Aris drew level through Noe Acosta. Aris then claimed the spoils thanks to a brace from Nery Castillo, who struck in the 31st and 86th minutes. Second-bottom Levadiakos also suffered a home defeat, 2-0 against OFI Crete, for whom Fotis Papoulis and Vangelis Mantzios netted in either half. Panetolikos played out a 1-1 home draw with Kerkyra, the hosts taking the lead through Henri Camara\'s sixth-minute penalty but then being pegged back by a Dimitrios Grammozis equaliser 21 minutes later.
