Olympiacos FC will have the dubious pleasure of taking on FC Metalist Kharkiv in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 after a 4-1 win in Ukraine closed the book on FC Salzburg, who were beaten 4-0 in the first leg. Ricardo Moniz\'s Salzburg had done a good job of keeping the competition\'s most flamboyant side at bay until captain Martin Hinteregger\'s own goal just before the half-hour. Jakob Jantscher responded after the break, but his effort only riled Metalist, with Jonathan Cristaldo and Sebastián Blanco striking as the home side once more moved up a gear, and Marlos registering late on. A fiery crowd came expecting another show against a side taken apart in the first leg in Austria, but to Salzburg\'s credit, they did a reasonable job of restraining Myron Markevich\'s irrepressible team. They looked threatening themselves until, following a quick break on 28 minutes, Hinteregger stuck out a foot to direct José Ernesto Sosa\'s off-target effort into his own net. Master entertainer Taison should have made it 2-0 within seconds of the restart, but fired wide when well placed, and just before the break drew a tremendous save from Alexander Walke with an effort from just outside the box. Salzburg levelled when Oleksandr Goryainov could only palm Jonathan Soriano’s shot on to the head of Jantscher, who finished from close range. However, Metalist responded swiftly: Cristaldo held off Andreas Ulmer in the box and slid an effort past Walke, and Blanco fired in a third despite Franz Schiemer\'s attempts to clear off the line. Substitute Marko Devi? clattered Walke\'s post not long afterwards, and Soriano drew a reflex save from Goryainov as time ticked down. Marlos, however, had the final word, bundling the ball over the line with his knee from Devi?\'s ball across goal.
